The Vintage Frames Company Presents: Intern John Anderson

The Vintage Frames Company Presents: Intern John Anderson

Growing up in Philly I developed a strong love for where I came from and the city I called home. Although I have lived in Philly my entire life I traveled all over the United States and experienced many different cultures in many different areas. Although I have been all over the US, I have never been out of the country. This is my first time outside of the US, and Montreal is the destination I have chosen. My name is John Anderson and I am an intern at the Vintage Frames Company. Music and fashion are two things that I have been passionate about since I was a kid. I always wanted my career to involve either both or one of those topics. I have always been academically intelligent, but I strongly believe that the American school system is extremely flawed. I went to college and studied history, but knew that teaching history in a setting that was not my own was not for me. Once I graduated I honestly had no idea where to go from there. I had a Bachelors Degree in History, but did not want to pursue the jobs that come with that type of degree. I had been following Corey on social media for a couple years and learned a lot about fashion through him and his friends. When I saw that VFC had an internship opening, I decided that this was a rare chance that I might not get again. Not only is this company about fashion, but they are about the history of the fashion they promote. That sounded perfect to me, so in one weekend I packed up my life and moved it to Montreal in hopes of finding a career I could truly love and see myself doing for the rest of my life.
