I am very lucky to be able to work amongst great business minds and powerful people. It gives me the opportunity to share thoughts with like minded individuals and learn from their strengths and experiences. Sitting at a dinner table with some of the most powerful people in the hip hop industry last night I couldn't help but wonder: "Do great minds really think alike"? This notion wasn't a shot at trying to point out people's flaws. It was however to examine if a "great mind" really needed to think the same way as others. As I listened to industry moguls discuss their point of view on the same subject I realized very quickly that "great minds" don't think alike. Great minds have similar goals. The equations on executing a plan is however VERY different. What makes someone a great thinker is the ability to be different and think out of the box. If this is the case, how could 2 great minds be alike? The one thing however we could all agree on was approaching a task with ferocity. No matter how you are approaching a task or a goal, stare it in the eyes and approach it wisely. You can always recognize a pig from a hog as they approach. Remember that hogs get fat, and pigs get slaughtered. It's #thursday and if you have goal walk up to even the biggest boss in the biz and tell them to remember your fucking face. They were once in your shoes. I guarantee they walked up to someone in a higher position and did the same thing at one point in their career. If their "great mind" thought the same as other "great minds" they wouldn't be where they are today.
