A large void in this optical industry of ours was the relevant and concise history of the fashion aspect of the Vintage Eyewear industry. So many companies changed hands so many times between reps and manufacturing that very few people know the fashion history of the sunglasses industry. Obviously the medical aspects were all documented, but the fashion part seems to have fallen between the cracks. It has almost become a lost part of the optical industry. It is our duty as Vintage Sunglasses collectors and lovers to keep this history alive. It isn't enough to know what a frame is called, strive to know where it comes from, who whore it, and even why it was produced! It is important to educate the future of this world in Vintage Eyewear history so unlike our generation the components that have influenced and progressed the optical industry do not get lost through the cracks!
