Vintage Frames Company Community Project: Robyn Chalmers
Name: Robyn Chalmers
Who Are You:
I'm a Montreal native who has a serious obsession with old school beauty, pugs and living life to it's fullest. I pour my heart out into my blog Fashionista 514, event plan/offer PR for luxury fashion/lifestyle brands and align writers to corporate clients as a fresh and genuine alternative to traditional marketing on the web. Every day is a fresh start on world domination.
What is your most prized pair of Vintage Frames and why:
Red and gold Nina Ricci's that must be from the 70's. Oversized square burgundy faded lenses and gold accents in all the right places. If they were good enough for Jackie O, they are good enough for me.
What is your earliest memory of a pair of frames that stuck in your head until today:
Gotta be the eighties wayfarer cheapies with the neon sides in every color (I had the orange ones). Classics.
If you could stumble upon 1 pair of Vintage Frames, what would it be:
These YSL babies. Love the color, adore the shape, perfection. They remind me of both of my grandmas (two very stylin' ladies).
About how many Vintage Frames do you have in your collection:
Two, but only because I just recently discovered the brand.
Why do you choose Vintage Frames instead of new eyewear:
More selection packed with more personality! Love the passion that flows through the company (in my own 514 backyard) and that the people you deal with are in it for the right reasons. Historians they are indeed - I learn something new every time I step into Dr. Shapiro's office or catch up on the (highly addictive) blog.
