Name: Tyler Selvey
Age: 24
Job: Restaurant game
Who Are You:
I'm Tyler Selvey I've been collecting vintage eyewear for about 6 years now and show no signs of letting up!
What is your most prized pair of Vintage Frames and why:
At the moment probably my Vintage Emmanuelle Khanh 1000 GP, just because those were seriously a challenge for me to find. It took me 4 years on the hunt for those In black and I had a few leads but once Corey got a burgundy pair and blew them up to the masses I was doomed!!
What is your earliest memory of a pair of frames that stuck in your head until today:
My earliest memory of a pair of frames were probably my moms White Vuarnet shades she had since I was born, I have a few pictures of me wearing them In the blow up pool. classic
If you could stumble upon 1 pair of Vintage Frames, what would it be:
For the time being probably a Cartier "Vitesse" Black/Gold in the large size 60/18. I have always admired Cartier for the quality and elegance that they bring to the table, especially In the vintage eyewear designs. If I was gonna go with the majority of the many collectors I know then It would be a Cazal 642 or 616.
About how many Vintage Frames do you have in your collection:
Used to be around 100 but I trimmed the fat to about 35-40
Why do you choose Vintage Frames instead of new eyewear:
Vintage sunglasses have extremely high quality materials from the lenses to the frames. Vintage sunglasses almost always have a story behind them, they are bold and original and not something that any asshole Hypebeast kid can get on a whim. Vintage frames show identity and thats something that anyone who shops at sunglass hut will never understand.
