Who Are You:
Miami/Brooklyn based DJ & accumulator of crap

What is your most prized pair of Vintage Frames and why:
My good friend and true sunglasses connoisseur Grahame Funke actually hipped me to what has become one of my favorite frames: The Neostyle Boutique 'Rolex'.  Super high-quality construction and just so dumb rare.. I've been lucky enough to find a few pair over the past couple of years.  Otherwise I have a few simple, understated frames from Alain Mikli, Cartier, and Ray Ban that are my daily go-to's.

What is your earliest memory of a pair of frames that stuck in your head until today:
The first sunglasses I really remember noticing as a kid were probably Dwayne Wayne style flip ups and Oakley Frogskins... With the crazy mirrored lenses and clear frames.. Remember it was like 1988 and I was 10, but I definitely wished I had a prescription back then so I could legitimately wear those flip ups.

If you could stumble upon 1 pair of Vintage Frames, what would it be:
I'm actually pretty satisfied right now..  Probably most interested in stumbling across unique stuff that I haven't seen before.  I have too many frames that I don't wear, so these days the priority is downsizing.

About how many Vintage Frames do you have in your collection:
Probably 40-50, of which i actually wear probably 5-6.  I'll buy the classic hip hop frames out of nostalgia but for personal use I tend to keep it pretty simple and basic.  That being said, because I spend so much time in Miami, I'm always coming across great vintage stuff.  Plenty of Cazal, Carlotti, Ultra, EK, etc.

Why do you choose Vintage Frames instead of new eyewear:
I'm not against new eyewear, it just seems like most of the new frames that I like are half-ass knock offs of old designs.  My collector nature won't let me settle for an imitation.  Maybe it's a DJ thing or just a collector thing.  I'd always rather take the time and put in the effort to have the original.
