Exclusively handmade from acetate, Adrian Mustelin has been designing sunglasses for some  heavy hitters like Whyred & Martin Lamothe since 2007 . He recently  introduced one of the first lines of eyewear designed to be worn at night, featuring pale lenses that contrast dark blue and green environments without altering color perception. Continuing its The History of Oakley collaboration, Staple presents two new models from its ongoing project with Oakley, including new colorways in the longstanding Frogskins and newer Holbrook. Both take on Staple’s signature look, with the Frogskins sporting a Pigeon themed makeup, while the Holbrook takes more of a snowboard-driven aesthetic, fittingly catering to the signature model of snowboard extraordinaire Shaun White. Both are now available through Reed Space, who briefs us a bit more about the collection here.

In commemoration of nitraid’s AGITO and its 6th anniversary, the Tokyo-based skate brand links up with Oakley on a collaborative Frogskin. The sunglasses follow the iconic Frogskins shape in Amber Black with Iridium Polarized Lenses. Other items are on the horizon as well for AGITO’s 6th anniversary including a mixtape with Captain-C 20XX.

A couple of years ago we first got together with our friends from Super to collaborate on a pair of sunglasses. In the meantime the brand has gotten older and every season we are pleased to see how they mature and deliver one solid collection after the other. We wanted to get together again and follow up on our previous collaborative work.

Today we are pleased to show you the result of this last project. We chose their still new Andrea silhouette and got inspired by the 70s. Original vintage tortoise was used on the new sunglasses, mixed with the front body and half of the arms being covered in premium leather. Our logo was embedded on the arms of the sunglasses. As usual these sunglasses are of course hand made in Italy to the highest quality standards and feature premium Zeiss lenses. Furthermore the sunglasses will come with a custom premium case, staying in line with the silhouette and style. We hope you like them as much as we do.

Due to the limited amount of vintage tortoise that we could get hold off, the sunglasses are limited to only 80 pairs worldwide. They are available from colette Paris, Soto Berlin and other select stores around the globe.  For everybody not close to one of these stores, they will also release online today at 5pm CET time in the official Super online store here.
