From The Desk Of Dr. Shapiro: "Struggle"

From The Desk Of Dr. Shapiro:

The interesting thing about cameras being turned on is that people change. People feel they should be presented a certain way while being documented. What about the reality? What about the struggle? What about the obstacles? What about the failures? From day one I pointed out the biggest successes in life was overcoming my failures. I am not from a rich family, nor was I silver spooned a business. I did not grow up in the optical industry, nor was there any business model to follow. In front and behind the camera I am me! I am a bearded maniac with enough balls to make a decision and own the outcome regardless of the results. Most people think they can influence or inspire by showing where they're at! The big question is what did it take to get there? The education is never in the results, only in the path! The leadership is never about where you are at, it's about where you came from! Cameras or no cameras we are all individuals. We have all made mistakes, and we have all done good. The only true way to be presented is as ourselves. If you choose to be documented, make sure you are giving people the right documentation. It's #tuesday my confessions to the camera might be fucking redundant, but I ain't got shit to hide. Be proud of what you have become. Be proud about where you are headed. Learn about the struggles, not the ends. I promise you there were means that justified that end. There was a path that was taken, and a story to be told. Behind those lenses, behind those shades, is an individual with a story. It is the story that has value, very often the cover is just a design. #morninginspiration #vintageframes
