From The Desk Of Dr. Shapiro: "Bricks"

From The Desk Of Dr. Shapiro:

We are building a new "playground" for #vintage #frames today. I went to Home Depot to purchase bricks to make a wall. The sales clerk told me I should purchase "faux" brick as it was easier and quicker to get the results of a finished product. I explained to him very politely, there is nothing of substance that comes with instant gratification. We live in a world where information is as easy as the touch of a button and services are one phone call away. The need for instant gratification is increasingly great. Children are being taught the concept of "now" instead of "soon". Quality control is diminishing, and general care for labor has more to do with time, then it does with results. As a society we are constantly looking for the next thing. The next thrill, the next buzz, the next movement. All this searching and need for the "next" makes us forget about the present, and forget the past. A wall is very much like a business. You can go and purchase faux bricks instantly, but if you take the time to lay individual bricks properly, your longevity will outlast any fake walls. If you take the time to plan your business one day at a time, it will outlast any flash pan fad. The choice is ultimately yours. You should however keep in mind a house made of sticks lasts for now, a house made of stones last forever. It's #thursday and I am taking my time to admire all the fucking adventures and stories that come with every brick in our wall. People can huff, they can puff, but they CAN'T blow our house down! We didn't take the easy route and buy the "faux" bricks. We took our time and laid the quality bricks as our foundation proving that years later, our structure is still standing. The easy way out always comes with a catch, remember that. It is the wise that weigh the options, it is the weak that rush the outcome. Make sure whatever you build that there ain't a mother fucker that can huff, and puff, and blow that shit down. #morninginspiration #vintageframes
