From The Desk Of Dr. Shapiro: "Shred & Sew"
There comes a time in everyone's life for them to stand up for what they believe in. There comes a point where you have to dig your heals in and take a stance. Every cut will heal. Every ending will bring new beginnings. A couple of months ago I was tired of being judged when I walked into high end stores or restaurants. Shopping at #chanel or #hermes became more uncomfortable then pleasurable. I took some time to look at the way people judge what they don't understand. I vowed right there and then to take a stance and make a change. Seeing the way one of these high end brands was treating a client that walked in, I entered with a pair of scissors and started cutting garments. As the security was ready to tackle me I took out the cash to pay for that shirt and dropped it on the floor. The commotion this caused was epic. The result is spawned was monumental. By me taking a stance against what sickened me about haute-couture I got the idea to create #shrednsew. What started with the idea of a movement, allowed me to create. My movement was brought to life, and I was about to create an army to fight. It's #monday stand the fuck up for what you believe in and don't let a motherfucker make you feel less then adequate. By me standing up for what I believed in spawned an idea. By getting an idea it allowed me to create. By creating it allowed me to gather. By gathering it allowed me to fight. Take a stance. Speak your mind. Imagine. Create. The world is waiting for a fucking change. Be that breath of fresh air. #morninginspiration #vintageframes
